Please write and submit an informal essay describing how you teach writing or use writing as a means of learning in your classroom or subject. (Maximum of two pages, double-spaced)

Due to classroom space and staffing restrictions, enrollment in the 2010 Summer Institute will be limited. Unfortunately, not all applicants can be accepted. Therefore, applicants will be interviewed prior to the final selection of 2010’s Writing Fellows. Questions will touch on your short essay, your writing interests and concerns, your philosophy of teaching writing, and your desire to work in collaboration with others during the Summer Institute. Also we will answer your questions.
