Please read through the following guidelines before signing the grill(s) out:
1.) FEES:
a. Please note that grill replacement costs $800 each, so locking the grill(s) securely is extremely important.
b. You/your club will be charged for any cleaning supplies and grill(s) that are not returned at the designated time.
c. If the grill(s) and supplies are not properly cleaned before returning, you/your club will be charged a $100 cleaning fee.
d. Any student or organization that removes the grill from the designated location without filling out the form or prior authorization will be charged $100.
e. FOR DEPARTMENTS/EMPLOYEES/NON-STUDENTS: your department will be charged $100 for renting the grill(s) and supplies.
2.)Purchase your own charcoal.
3.)Line the grill with sufficient aluminum foil to facilitate cleanup of charcoal/ash.
4.) Spray the grill top with "Pam" before use.
5.)Scraping the grill with the wire brushes is easiest while the grill is still hot, so it is best to do so before the grill cools.
6.) Do not try to empty the hot coals. Lock the grill in a secure location on the podium after grilling with the provided cable and lock. The grill can be left overnight to cool, and you will be responsible for cleanup the next day. DO NOT pour cold water onto the grill to speed cooling; the sudden change of temperature will ruin the grill.
7.) Make sure the coals are completely cool before removing the entire foil lining with the coals/ash, wrapping them securely in the foil, and putting them in the dumpster.
8.) Make sure the grill bottom(s) are clean of ash, and then thoroughly clean the top grate with the provided soap and scrubber.
9.) Clean the utensils completely, preferably by scrubbing them and running them through someone’s dishwasher in order to get all the bits.
10.) Return the grill(s) and cleaning materials to the designated storage space. Then return the keys to Diana Kassar in NW111, Med-Dent; 202-687-2521.
