The Learning Glass looks like a large picture window. The instructor writes and draws

on the glass while giving the lesson. The words, and symbols seem to float in the air in front

of the instructor. The recorded lesson is automatically flipped  and stored on the drive for use

in Flipped Classrooms, online learning or in class instruction. This will be a one touch system.

Come to this session to learn more about this new technology and how you can incorporate it

into your class. The recording studio should be installed at the Monroe Campus by the Spring

The Reading Apprenticeship framework is a unique approach to improving literacy in a variety

of disciplinary settings. It blends familiar reading strategies with the four complex dimensions

of classroom life- the social, personal, cognitive, and knowledge-building dimensions.

Metacognitive conversation is at the core of the Reading Apprenticeship and encourages

students to dive deeper into their learning processes. Don’t let the “reading” title dissuade you

from attending, this program is for everyone!
