MLA does not reimburse food, supplies, or gasoline purchased by the foster. MLA can provide food and supplies as needed and determined by MLA. MLA and the animals we serve thank you for wanting to become a foster and opening up your home and your heart to be the shining light for those in need. Terms of contract:

* The animal will not live outdoors. When a dog is taken outside to potty or exercise, the dog will be in a fenced yard or on a leash at all times. No off leash in an unfenced area is allowed. Cats and rabbits must be indoor only.

* The animal will be fed, watered and exercised appropriately. For dogs, this includes no unsupervised, off-lead time, in an unfenced area.

* The foster family will make every effort to socialize the animal and to make sure the behavior is acceptable so that the animal can be adopted out. This includes working on basic commands and potty training for dogs.

* No shock or prong collars will be used at any time unless directed and supervised by a licensed trainer.

* Food will be of good quality.

* My Loveable Angels will be responsible for medical care, but if foster is taking the animal to receive medical care it must be approved by My Loveable Angels prior to treatment or foster will be responsible for the bill.

* Veterinary care will be provided by My Loveable Angels, which includes vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventive, altering, and any prescription medication necessary for the animal.

* The animal is to be adopted to its permanent home only to someone approved by My Loveable Angels.

* If there is a need to remove the animal from the foster home, the animal is to be given directly to a My Loveable Angels officer or designated volunteer.

*The foster family agrees that My Loveable Angels has the right to check on the foster animal within the home, either by My Loveable Angels officers or designated volunteer, or by the Department of Agriculture.

* The foster family accepts the responsibility for any and all events that occur in connection with the fostering of a rescue animal. The foster family agrees to release and indemnify rescuer, which includes officers, from any and all claims, known and unknown, now or hereafter, arising in connection with the animal. The foster family agrees to carry their own insurance for any and all claims that may arise in connection to fostering an animal.

* The foster family will keep records in accordance to any forms, if any, provided by My Loveable Angels with regard to the foster animal.

* The foster family will make every effort to accommodate times for perspective adopters to meet their foster animal.

* If the foster family wishes to adopt the animal they are fostering, there is a $50 deduction from the adoption donation for a dog. Cat or rabbit adoptions are not discounted. My Loveable Angels must be notified prior to other apprpved applications in order to adopt.
