Before registering: Please note that the Canada Line (Vancouver's rapid-transit line) is the most convenient way to get to the Start Line from Downtown Vancouver. If you plan to stay Downtown during race weekend, please take the Canada Line, which opens at 4:48am daily from Waterfront Station and and travels between Downtown Vancouver and near the Start Line with stops at King Edward Station (Half Marathon) and Oakridge/41st Station (Marathon). You may pick-up a free, single use, Compass ticket courtesy of the Vancouver International Marathon Society at the Health, Sports & Lifestyle Expo.
To accommodate popular demand, the Vancouver International Marathon Society, in partnership with Translink, is also offering an optional shuttle service on Race Day for participants staying or living in areas without access to early-morning transit services.
This offer applies to participants staying in the East-West corridor and in North/West Vancouver only. Shuttles are available from Surrey, South Burnaby, North Burnaby, Coquitlam, West Vancouver and North Vancouver.
Space is limited, and is booked on a first come first serve basis.
You are eligible to take advantage of the service if you are:
- A registered Half Marathon or Marathon participant (not available for 8KM participants who have a free shuttle and package drop-off location at Burrard & Cordova Street)
- Staying in areas without early transit access (please refer to Translink website to find out bus/skytrain schedules)
Please arrive early as the buses will depart on-time. We recommend that you arrive at least 20 minutes early to park, walk to the bay, and board your shuttle. Buses provide both seating and standing room.
On race day, your bib will be your ticket for the shuttle.
THE VANCOUVER INTERNATIONAL MARATHON SOCIETY WILL ACCEPT ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR THE SHUTTLE SERVICE UNTIL MONDAY, MAY 1, 2017 (11:30PM PST).
SIGN UP AVAILABLE AT THE RACE EXPO MAY 4-6, 2017, SPACE PERMITTING.
