This is critical information about how to fill out the Silver Award Final Report. If you do not fill out the form properly, you will lose your work, and we will NOT be able to help you retrieve it or extend the time you have to complete the report.
The GSNorCal Silver Award Final Report is your official notification to the Girl Scouts of Northern California that you have completed your project. It is also the only thing the Council will review, so it must be filled out completely with as many details as you can include. Remember, the Council does not know what you were doing for your project or what you accomplished, so you must explain very clearly! Make sure to proofread your work to ensure that it makes sense.
The Girl Scout Silver Award Final Team Report must be submitted and accepted before the Silver Award Pin can be purchased from the Council and awarded to you. The review process usually takes 4 weeks, but can take up to 8 weeks depending on the quality of your final report and the number of final reports submitted before yours. Summer and Fall are the typical "busy seasons" for awards, as many people submit during those times. Please submit your report as early as possible, especially if you have an award ceremony you want to attend.
**The Silver Award Final Report must be submitted by the deadline: September 30th the year you finish 8th grade and start the 9th.** This deadline also applies to Silver Award teams with girls in different grades. If you have a group of three 7th graders and one 8th grader, the whole team must plan to complete the project by the September 30th immediately after the 8th grader completes 8th grade. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Please fill out one Silver Award Final Report per team. (If an individual Girl Scout completed her Silver Award project, she fills out a single report individually. If two to four Girl Scouts completed their Silver Award project together, they fill out a single report together).
We strongly recommend saving the answers you type for each question in a separate document in case your browser crashes or you experience any other error while filling out your Silver Award final report. All of the questions that are asked in the final report can be found on page 16 of our Silver Award Packet.
