Please complete the following questions. Soon after we receive your interest form, a UHCS group facilitator will contact you by email or phone to discuss your interest in group(s) and answer any questions you may have. Your responses are confidential and will only be reviewed by UHCS mental health clinicians. Please note that the * represents a required response. If the support group you are interested in is no longer open to additional students, please consider reaching out to UHCS for other counseling options.

Grief and Loss Support Group

Grief and Loss Support Group is full for Spring 2024. If you would like to learn about other available resources, please contact Danette Mucaria, Associate Director of Mental Health d.mucaria@northeastern.edu.

3:00PM to 4:00PM EST, In person

February 5th through April 8th

A group to create space for those students who are struggling with loss and/or grief and are interested in a place to process in a group format. Open to graduate and undergraduate students.



HEAL - Full for Spring 2024

4:00PM to 5:30PM EST, In person

February 13th through April 9th

HEAL is a psychoeducational support group for survivors of sexual assault. This group is offered in conjunction with OPEN’s Sexual Violence Resource Center.

Prescreening will begin the week of January 23, 2024.



Let’s Chat for Mental Wellness

12:30PM to 1:30PM EST, Curry Student Center 348

February 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd

International Student Let’s Chat meets once a week in an open, non-judgmental safe space for you to speak with your peers and a clinician from UHCS to make connections, access support, and explore resources to benefit your mental wellness as you are navigating life in NU.


International Students Support Group

12:30PM to 1:30PM EST, In person at UHCS

February 29th through March 28th

Students coming to NU from other countries often face special challenges in their efforts to thrive at NU.  Challenges may relate to adjusting to a new academic and social environment, finding companions of one’s own culture/religion/language, homesickness, loneliness, financial stress, social confidence, and Visa issues, etc.

International Students Support Group meets once a week for 5 weeks in an open, non-judgmental and safe space to explore your needs in life, make social connections, and learn skills to navigate in searching resources through sharing your unique personal experiences.
