Soon after we receive your interest form, a UHCS group facilitator will contact you by email or phone to discuss your interest in group(s) and answer any questions you may have. Your responses are confidential and will only be reviewed by UHCS mental health clinicians. Please note that the * represents a required response. If the support group you are interested in is no longer open to additional students, please consider reaching out to UHCS for other counseling options.

Spring 2022 Groups


Depression Group

October 3rd – December 5th

3:30PM – 4:30PM

This group provides space to learn, discuss, and cope with depression from a cognitive behavioral therapy perspective. Students are required to commit to the attend all sessions.

This group is no longer accepting new students.  

International Student Support Group
9/20, 9/27, 10/4, 10/18, 10/25, 11/1
2:30PM - 3:30PM EST
This supportive, non-judgmental and safe space is for international students to express concerns, connect, and find support. The group is open to students seeking community, connection, and the opportunity to learn about resources as you navigate this new journey in the United States and NU community. Discussion topics may include adjustment and transition difficulties, cultural differences, social and communication challenges, and tips to navigate resources on and off campus. Let’s chat!

October 19th– Wednesday November 9th.

Koru Mindfulness is the an evidence-based mindfulness curriculum designed for college-aged adults. The small group learning is a place where you can learn useful and practical mindfulness skills.

Group participants are required to participate in all 4 sessions. The instructor will stay after 15 minutes to answer any questions.

Taking the Fear Out of Food

October 6th - Decemeber 8th

2:30PM – 3:30PM EST

If you have noticed that thoughts about food and body image consume more of your time and energy than you would like, join us and learn skills for coping with the emotions that surround your relationship with food.

This group is no longer accepting new students.
