Soon after we receive your interest form, a UHCS group facilitator will contact you by email or phone to discuss your interest in group(s) and answer any questions you may have. Your responses are confidential and will only be reviewed by UHCS mental health clinicians. Please note that the * represents a required response. If the support group you are interested in is no longer open to additional students, please consider reaching out to UHCS for other counseling options.

Spring 2022 Groups

Grief and Loss Support Group - this group is no longer open for additional students.

Mondays, 3:00PM - 4:00PM, February 28th through April 25th

A group to create space for those students who are struggling with loss and/or grief and are interested in a place to process in a group format. Open to graduate and undergraduate students.

 

Coping through Covid-19 and Transitions: Virtual Support Group

Tuesdays, 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM, Beginning January 25, 2022 

Let’s talk! If you are experiencing stressful adjustment, isolation, loneliness or having other concerns for self in navigating life and school throughout isolation or quarantine process, you are welcome to join us and connect to share, process, and learn ways to manage these challenging times. We are here to listen and support!

 

HEAL

Thursdays 4:00PM - 5:30PM, Beginning February 24th

HEAL is a psychoeducational support group for students who have experienced sexual assault. The group is open to undergraduate and graduate students of all genders. 

 

Depression Support Group - this group is no longer open for additional students.

Wednesdays 1:00pm-1:50pm, Beginning February 16th

This 8-week group is for students with depression to share their experience with others. Group members can connect weekly to offer understanding, empathy, and encouragement to one another. Please join us as we support each other in learning ways to cope with and manage depressive symptoms.

 

Taking the Fear out of Food - this group is no longer open for additional students.

Wednesdays 2:30PM - 3:30PM, Beginning February 16, 2022
 
If you have noticed that thoughts about food and body image consume more of your time and energy than you would like, join us and learn skills for coping with the emotions that surround your relationship with food. This group will be held virtually, and is available for students in Massachusetts. 
 
 
International Student Support Group
Wednesdays 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM, Beginning February 9, 2022 through March 30, 2022
 
This supportive and safe space is for international students to express concerns, connect, and find support. The group is open to students seeking community, connection, and the opportunity to learn about resources as you navigate this new journey in the United States and NU community. Please join us.
 
 
Stress & Anxiety group - this group is no longer open for additional students.
Tuesdays 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM, February 15, 2022 through April 19, 2022
Pre-Screens: January 26th, February 1st and February 8th
 
This 8-week group is for anyone who has been struggling with levels of stress and/or anxiety seeking out support. This group will provide an intentional space for individuals to identify triggers, process, and learn strategies to decrease/manage symptoms associated with stress and/or anxiety.
