Employees are eligible for up to three (3) consecutive business days of bereavement leave for immediate family members. Immediate family members are defined as spouse, son, daughter, stepson, stepdaughter, parent, step-parent, grandparent, grandchild, sister, brother and in-laws of the same.
One (1) day of paid bereavement leave is permitted for all other situations that involve close relationships (or as deemed appropriate by the direct supervisor).
If additional time is needed, a separate request for PTO and/or unpaid time must be submitted for approval.
