CA UDC Scholarships

This historical organization provides scholarships at the General, Division and Chapter levels to those who have a genealogical connection to a particular moment in American History, 1861-1865. Do you descend directly or collaterally from someone who served honorably in the military, gave civil service or provided material to the Confederate States of America? You must be able to prove your genealogical descent. Scholarship applications are considered for anyone (male or female) who can prove DIRECT descent. Membership in UDC or CofC is required if for COLLATERAL descent.

Examples: Direct descent is you great(s) granparents. Collateral descent is the brother or sister of your direct line - one step sideways - a great(s) uncle or aunt.
