The LD Schools Leadership Retreat has been an opportunity for leaders to connect, recharge, and learn for many years. With the formation of ALDS, the Leadership Retreat will continue to serve that purpose for years to come. The mission and vision of the retreat remains the same.
Mission: Building the next generation of leaders serving students with learning differences.
Values: Leadership Development ↔ Connecting as a Community ↔ Recharging
This year we identified a number of top priorities in our Call for Papers to help streamline the focus of the retreat. We will not have presentations on every area covered in that list, but it will give you an idea of what areas people are targeting for proposals. If you have questions about who from your school to bring to this event, please feel free to reach out. You can find the full list of topics and more information on our website.
New this year, we will be offering a Head of School pre-conference that will include a full dinner on Sunday evening and morning programming on Monday before the conference officially kicks off. We are pleased to announce that Megan Mann, Chief Legal Counsel for NAIS, will be our keynote speaker and facilitator for this year’s pre-conference.
