Leadership Retreat at the New Community School

The LD Schools Leadership Retreat has been an opportunity for leaders to connect, recharge, and learn for many years. With the formation of ALDS, the Leadership Retreat will continue to serve that purpose for years to come. The mission and vision of the retreat remains the same.

This year we identified a number of top priorities in our Call for Papers to help streamline the focus of the retreat. We will not have presentations on every area covered in that list, but it will give you an idea of what areas people are targeting for proposals. New this year, we will be offering a Head of School pre-conference that will include a full dinner on Sunday evening and morning programming on Monday before the conference officially kicks off. We are pleased to announce that Megan Mann, Chief Legal Counsel for NAIS, will be our keynote speaker and facilitator for this year’s pre-conference.

Participation in ALDS events signifies an attendee’s acknowledgement of infectious and other diseases and voluntary assumption of the risk of exposure or infection by attending the event. Attendees agree to comply with all guidelines and procedures, including distancing and/or masking, that may be implemented by ALDS, in accordance with recommendations from the CDC and other public health authorities.

I expressly acknowledge the intellectual property of the presenters of this conference and these other terms that are conditions of my attendance. This acknowledgement includes the understanding that creating any form of recording, including but not limited to video or audio is a violation of the intellectual property of the speakers as well as a violation of the terms of my participation in this event. Cancellation & Financial Policies *

CANCELLATION: Cancellations received via the cancellation form before May 29 will receive an 80% refund. After that date, replacement registrants are welcomed but no refunds are available. Extenuating circumstances will be considered on a case-by-case basis following the conclusion of the event. FINANCIAL: ALDS does not automatically issue refunds to those who register at the wrong rate.
