The 2019 Homeschool Family Expo takes place on Saturday, March 9, 2019 and is free to the public! Homeschool students in Grades K-12 can sign up now to participate in the Student Commerce Fair and/or the Student Literature Fair!

Sign up here to participate in the Homeschool Family Expo with a:

       1. Student Commerce Fair Booth (shift 1: 10:00am - 12:45pm)

       2. Student Commerce Fair Booth (shift 2: 1:15pm - 4:00pm)

       3. Student Literature Fair exhibit

Your homeschool child, grades K-12, can put his creative juices to good use while designing his own tabletop storefront and selling items during a 2-hour-45-minute shift at his own booth. Paper airplanes, friendship bracelets, sewn handbags, homemade greeting cards, or your child’s next invention - having a table at the commerce fair is an opportunity for him to learn how to market his item, provide friendly customer service, count money and give change, and hopefully make some money for the piggy bank.

Table sizes are 5' x 2'. This is a family table. Multiple students in your family can participate at the same booth/table. If you require additional table space, you may pay for an additional booth/storefront.

Want to participate in the Commerce Fair but have nothing to sell? No problem. Show up with your babysitting, pet sitting, yard work flyers (etc.), and use your booth to simply communicate to visitors about your service. Note – Student commerce tables are for businesses and services provided by homeschool students in K-12. Space is limited so register now.

** We encourage our older students to be creative! You can sell hugs, snapshots with your camera, temporary tattoos, jokes, etc.

Everyone without a Commerce Fair booth is invited to come and shop, and/or participate in one of the other areas of this event. All Commerce Fair participants will receive a Young Entrepreneur’s gift bag along with a participation certificate.

It's a family affair! The Student Literature Fair is an opportunity for families to creatively showcase their love of reading! Similar to a science fair, families of homeschool students will create storyboards portraying particular elements of a fiction book they have read. We encourage families to work together on submitting a single project for one family-favorite read!

Families of homeschool students in grades K-12 have an opportunity to design and display a board for a fiction book of their choosing, with text, photos, cutouts, etc. Literacy Fair display tables will be unmanned, so your family will be able to walk around to enjoy the rest of the event. Expo guests and students will be exposed to a range of book options through the viewing of the display tables. All families who produce a Literacy Fair presentation board for the Expo will receive a participation ribbon. The Grand Prize winner (as determined by our independent panel of judges) will be awarded a $50 Barnes & Noble gift card. Second and third place prizes will be awarded.
